With a wealth of experience in the litigation domain, Mr. Achal Shekhar, an alumnus of New Law College, Bharti Vidyapeeth University, specializes in corporate and IP litigation and dispute resolution, including but not limited to the handling of arbitration disputes, recovery suits, consumer disputes, disputes relating to property, intellectual property disputes, such as those for infringement and violation of trademarks, copyrights, patents and designs. Mr. Shekhar has been regularly involved in advising clients for protecting and enforcing their rights, drafting and vetting contracts, opinions on various laws, and due diligence for national as well as international clients.

Practicing in the litigation space for almost a decade now, Mr. Shekhar continues to appear and argue matters before various High Courts, District Courts, Company Law Tribunals and other Mofusill courts representing his clientele and securing favourable orders. He has distinctive experience in working, liaising and coordinating with law enforcement agencies aimed at resolution of disputes. He has worked on certain important decisions on Intellectual Property Rights in India and has also been actively involved in domain name matters before the NIXI and WIPO. Mr. Shekhar regularly advises and handles Custom recordal portfolios of various corporate and Fortune 500 companies and has actively represented them before various Custom Authorities within and outside India.

Armed with a unique background by handling Criminal First appeals, arguing regular and anticipatory bails before various High Courts in India, Mr. Shekhar bears a dualistic calibre in his practice and is skilled to represent clients before various forums - Civil and Criminal.

Prior to joining Ediplis Counsels, Mr. Shekhar worked as a core member of the litigation teams at Rahul Chaudhry and Partners (formerly known as Lall Lahiri and Salhotra) and G.D. Bansal and Associates. He is an avid advocate of building IP awareness across the country and strives to promote the same through his work.
